Caring for your glass tabletop includes protecting it from cracking, etching and scratches. Become familiar with the manufacturer’s weight limit recommendations and try not to place heavy objects at the edge of glass tabletops or coffee tables. Always use drink coasters to catch condensation and clean up any puddles or spills immediately. Don’t throw things like keys or sharp objects onto glass tables, take care not to unnecesarily slide items across the surface.
When cleaning your glass table, choose a quality glass cleaner that will not leave unsightly streaks. Use a lint-free cotton cloth, microfibre, or specific glass cleaning rags to wipe down the glass, taking care not to use an excessive amount of cleaner.
If the glass is framed by wood or other non-glass material, do your best to keep the glass cleaner on the glass so as not to mare the non-glass material by introducing oxidizing chemicals.
Clear glass
• Clean with glass cleaner. Wipe dry.
Satin etched glass and colored glass
• Clean the top surface with a damp cloth.
For stubborn spots, use a gentle glass cleaner. Spray the cloth first to avoid drips, which can damage the film-coated underside or the laminated layer of the glass.

Lacquer surfaces are achieved by applying very thin layers of colored paint on wood or metal. Each layer is thoroughly dried before applying the next coatings. The final layer is polished after application, which brings out the gloss and depth of color in the material.
Lacquer finishes should be cleaned only with a soft damp 100% cotton cloth or microfiber and mild soap to preserve their delicate nature and sheen. Waxes may also be applied in accordance with the manufactures application instructions.

To maintain and care for your KGBL upholstery, periodic vacuuming or feather dusting is recommended to help remove dust and soil from becoming embedded in the fibers. If possible, turn and rotate cushions after vacuuming to prevent excessive wear. Avoid placing newspaper on any textile, as the inks will permanently stain and discolor the textile. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading. In the event deep cleaning is required, please refer to the manufacturers care and maintence guide and use a professional cleaner only.

Leather is a natural material so please note stretch marks and imperfections are inherent.
Clean leather with a soft dry cloth and never apply chemicals or liquid cleaning materials. There are lubricants available to maintain the leather’s suppleness; however, they may stain clothing.
Finished/Smooth Leather
For regular care and cleaning, dust periodically with a dry cloth to remove residual dust and prevent dirt from building up. No harsh cleaners or solvents should ever be used on the leather, as they could abrade the finish or topcoat off the article.
For stubborn stains and spills, a lightly damp cloth with warm water should be blotted on the stain to lift and remove it. If this does not work, a mild soap and water solution (Palmolive or Dawn) should be mixed and then blotted to release the stain and then blot again with dry cloth. This should never be done heavily or in a scrubbing motion.

Unless otherwise specified, KGBL applies a sealer to all bronze, patinated bronze, brass, nickel, copper and blackened steel pieces. The sealer used largely prevents any normal oxidation of the metal. While the nonferrous metals utilized in KGBL furniture will not rust, it may develop shades of color and normal patination/oxidation, which is natural and should not be considered a flaw. Please note that any polished egdes featured are not sealed/coated in order to achieve the highest level of polish. These surfaces will be more prone to oxidation but can be cleaned with a rouge cloth when necessary, or a small amount of Simichrome Polish following the manufacturers application instructions.
Cleaning should only be done with a soft damp cloth and chemical based cleaning products must be avoided. Wipe dry with the same type of cotton/microfiber cloth.

All of KGBL's stone is sealed with a high grade product which should provide sufficient protection against most everyday spills and soil. Always use drink coasters to catch condensation and clean up any puddles or spills immeditely.
A soft damp sponge or lint free cotton/microfiber cloth can be used daily to wipe up loose dust. To clean areas involving oils or grease you may use an extremely small amount of mild dish detergent dilluted with water. Do not use acidic or abrasive cleaners. Acidic items in particular, such as vinegar, citrus and tomato juices may etch marble regardless of the finish. In the event a spill has remained on the table surface for a period of time and stained the stone a baking soda poultice paste may be employed. (See directions below).
Baking Soda Poultice:
First blot the spot to lift as much of the stain substance as possible. Then spray with water. Next, cover the stain completely with a substantial coating of paste made by mixing baking soda and water to the consistency of sour cream. Cover with plastic wrap sealed with painters' tape. Once dry (12 to 24 hours), scrape the paste off and wipe with a damp cloth. Repeat for very tough stains.
In some instances resurfacing or sanding the table may be required to remove stains. This procedure should only be performed by a reputable professional.

As with all wooden furniture, avoid placing wet objects directly on tabletops. Always use drink coasters to catch condensation and clean up any puddles or spills right away. Exposure to moisture or prolonged contact with the sun can change or fade the wood surface and may modify its structure and original tint.
Damp, lint free cotton cloths are the only cleaning implements that should be used on any of KGBL’s wood pieces. For an occasional deeper cleaning, you may use a very small amount of Murphy Oil Soap diluted in water.
